SPUD SPEEDWAY NEWS ARCHIVECoca Cola Sponsors the Super Streets Divisionlast updated on 1/29/2010Another winter storm is blowing through Aroostook County and things are continuing to heat up at Spud Speedway. Coca Cola Bottling Co. of Presque Isle has joined up with Spud Speedway to sponsor the Coca Cola Super Street Division. This division is showing tremendous growth this year with an addition of almost 10 new cars already. The excitment of this division is sure to be a crowd pleaser as defending champion Milo Haney and all of the new comers open the season on Mermorial Day weekend, in a showdown against the Pro All Star Series Sportsman division. Tony Phillips, manager for Coca Cola, shared in the excitment of Spud Speedway by commenting on how Coca Cola was looking forward in watching the track grow this year with all of the new additions and shows. He was excited about how Spud finished last years season and looked forard to an ongoing partnership with the track. Thanks to great sponsors like Coca Cola and Quigley's Building Supply the track is sure to continue to grow for fans and racers alike. 2009 Championship Banquet a Huge Successlast updated on 1/26/2010Thank you to everyone who made the awards banquet such a huge success. We had over 120 people there to celebrate the accomplishments of many great driver's and teams. Thanks to the Caribou Motor Inn for such a great meal and a special thanks goes out to the Nadeau Family Band for entertaining us after the awards. If the excitment at the banquet means anything, we are sure to have a really great 2010 season. With the support of so many great race teams, speedway staff, and fans Spud Speedway has only one direction to go, up. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing everyone at the races.
