This event will take place on August 28th, and is sure to be a crowd pleaser with a bomber race, tuff truck competition, regular racing, & the always popular demolition derby. Be sure to mark this one on your calendar as it will be a ton of fun to watch. Theriault's have been serving Aroostook County since 1958 will all of your yard, garden, and farm equipment needs. They most recently open a brand new state of the art facility on the Caribou road just outside of Presque Isle. They offer anything you can imagine John Deere. last updated on 4/11/2024Spud Speedway is looking forward to it's 1st ever motor sports show at the Presque Isle Forum on May 15th and 16th. The show keeps on growing as it draws nearer. Spud's great roster of local drivers are working harder than ever to make their cars ready for the show. Crushstation, Maine's own Monster Truck, has committed to being at the show for people to meet one of the newest upcoming stars of the monster truck circuit today. Word has it he may even bring along a friend which kids will be sure to enjoy. Pellitier Logging Inc., Maine's most popular logging stars of the hit show American Loggers will be at the show with their prized pulling truck to meet and greet fans of their show. Fans of American Loggers can also check out information their new restaurant that just opened in Milinocket. The Aroostook County RC club will be having their championship races on Sunday to finish off their season and Spud Speedway has built a Northern Lights race car that is race ready to raffle off for only $10.00 per ticket. This is just a small sample of the things that will be going on at the show, so be sure to mark this on your calendar. last updated on 4/5/2025It's offical Griffeth Ford Lincoln Mercury has sponsored Spud Speedway to become the Offical Pace Car of Spud Speedway for the 2010 season. Owner, Neil Griffeth looks forward to displaying the many different lines of automobiles his company represents and sells. This will be a great addition for the fans each week as they will get to see and learn about the many choices that are available right here locally. Griffeth's dealership has a long history in the county when Ford became one of Caribou's pioneer industries in 1912. Known then as W. L. Oak Company, it was located on Sweden Street.The name was changed to Caribou Motor Company in 1919 after incorporating the name. In 1939 the company moved to Main Street, where it remained until December 1st 1989. The dealership then moved into it's current location on U.S. Route 1. Caribou Ford Mercury d.b.a. Griffeth Ford Lincoln Mercury is owned by Neal Griffeth, and has two locations; U.S. Route 1, Caribou & 213 Main Street, Presque Isle. In May 2007 Griffeth became Aroostook's favorite Mitsubishi dealer. Most recently Griffeth also aquired the Honda dealership in Presque Isle and looks to grow that business as well.
