Vintage Sled Races Prove to be Exciting

Saturday's great weather proved to be the perfect day for sled racing at Spud Speedway. The Limestone Snow Hawks held their second event of the year and there was plenty of excitment. In the singles division Dave Harris drove a Yamaha to victory lane in 1st place with Aston Romer in 2nd and Scott Ketch rounding out the top three. In the twin division Kendall Sutherland raced his Polaris to 1st place after sharing some excitment in the heat race with a early day crash. Caleb Jewett finished 2nd and Shane McQuade came in third. Two youths competed in the 120cc class and had a great time. They ended the day with Free Frawl Race with all sleds racing. Kendall Sutherland took home another 1st place trophy with Dave Harris coming in a close second and Ashton Romer rounding out the top three in the days final event. Monstor Truck Show Releases Names

The Monstor Mayhem tour released the names of the trucks coming to Spud Speedway on July 9th & 10th Maine's own Crushstation will return bringing more of his friends with him. Eradicator, Backdraft, Screamin Demon, War Eagle, and Razin Kane are sure to please everyone from young to old as they compete in a wheelie contest, head to head racing, & a free style competition. Also that night we are looking for all the local guys to bring out your tuff trucks to compete in the Tuff Truck competition. More events are sure to be added so be sure to keep watching our site. Bangor Motorsports & Maine Distributors Sponsor

Bangor Motorsports and Maine Distributors have sponsored a weekend event at Spud Speedway for 2010. Bangor Motorsports has sponsored the opening day event on Mermorial Day when the Pro All Star Series Sportsman cars make their stop at Spud Speedway. This will be a points race for them and they will race against our Coca-Cola Super Streets division. Maine Distributors weekend is yet to be determined and will be announced soon. The support of sponsors like this enhance the racing a Spud's and make it poosible for all to have a great place to race. Be sure to support all of our sponsors as they make it all possible.

Clukey's Auto Supply Sponsors Fast 4's

Spud Speedway is proud to announce that Clukey's Auto Supply has sponsored the Fast Fours division for the 2010 season. This partnership will certainly be a good one as racers can purchase parts at one of their three locations in Caribou, Presque Isle, and Houlton.
